Eight policemen shot dead in Uttar Pradesh, India



Kanpur: Eight policemen have been killed in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district. An unidentified group shot dead eight policemen, including a DSP and three sub-inspectors, on Friday morning.
 According to Indian media, the group hid on the roof of the house and fired shots.
  A police team had reached the village from three police stations to nab the accused. A police team has reached there to nab the accused named Vikas Dubey. He is accused of being involved in 60 criminal activities. He was recently on the police's wanted list for murder.
  Police say the attack was planned. "There was an ambush," said Kanpur police chief Dinesh Kumar. "There were shots fired from three directions and it was completely planned."
   According to Indian media, checkpoints with six districts connected to Kanpur have been closed since the incident.
    Similarly, a forensic team has been sent to the spot from Lucknow and a special security force has also been sent.
