Sandeep took the wicket in the first game.

Sandeep Lamichhane took the wicket in his first match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 cricket on Wednesday night.

 In the first game of the season against St. Lucia, Sandeep took a wicket.  In that game, his team Jamaica Talawaj won.  Jamaica beat St. Lucia by five wickets.  Sandeep bowled the most economical from his team.

 Sandeep bowled four overs and took one wicket for 23 runs.  Coming to bowl in the ninth over, he gave up eight runs in the first over.  Then in the 11th over, Sandeep scored only three runs.  He gave away eight runs in the 13th over of the match.  Sandeep took the wicket in the second ball of the 15th over.  Najibullah Jadran of St. Lucia, who scored 25 off 21 balls, took the wicket.  He scored only four runs in the fourth over.

 Sandeep bowled four overs and took one wicket for 23 runs.  Coming to bowl in the ninth over, he gave up eight runs in the first over.  Then in the 11th over, Sandeep scored only three runs.  He gave away eight runs in the 13th over of the match.  Sandeep took the wicket in the second ball of the 15th over.  Najibullah Jadran of St. Lucia, who scored 25 off 21 balls, took the wicket.  He scored only four runs in the fourth over.

 In Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica captain Robman Powell and St. Lucia captain Darren Sammy performed.  Jamaica won the toss and elected to field.  Batting first, St. Lucia lost seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 158 runs.  With a victory target of 159, Jamaica lost 5 wickets in 18.5 overs.

 Roston Chase scored 52 for St. Lucia.  Similarly, Najibullah Jadran contributed 25 runs, Andre Fletcher 22 runs, Mark Dial 17 runs and Mohammad Nabi 13 runs.  Jamaica's Mujib Ur Rehman and Virasami Paramul took two wickets each and Andre Russell took one.  Asif Ali (47 not out), Glenn Phillips (44), captain Robman Powell (26) and Andre Russell (16) contributed for Jamaica.
Roston Chase scored 52 for St. Lucia.  Similarly, Najibullah Jadran contributed 25 runs, Andre Fletcher 22 runs, Mark Dial 17 runs and Mohammad Nabi 13 runs.  Jamaica's Mujib Ur Rehman and Virasami Paramul took two wickets each and Andre Russell took one.  Asif Ali (47 not out), Glenn Phillips (44), captain Robman Powell (26) and Andre Russell (16) contributed for Jamaica.
 Jamaica did not have a good start.  Jamaica lost the first wicket by five runs and the second by 13 runs.  Powell and Phillips played half-centuries for the third wicket.  On the bowling side, St. Susia's Kesrick Williams took two wickets and Aved Mackay, Scott Kageljin and Rahkim Kranwal took one wicket each.

 Now Sandeep's team Jamaica will play its second game against Tribago Knight Riders on Saturday.  The game will start at 3:15 p.m.
