Police complaint against cricketer Lamichhane for rape
A complaint of extortion has been lodged against the captain of the national cricket team, Sandeep Lamichhane.
A high-ranking source of Nepal Police has confirmed that a complaint was lodged against Lamichhane at the District Police Complex, Teku Kathmandu this evening on the charge of molesting a girl under the age of 18 years.
According to police sources, a medical examination of the girl, whom the police called the victim, was conducted this evening. The police officers did not want to talk more about this matter. The age of the girl has not yet been revealed.
According to news sources, they were preparing to file a complaint with the police on Monday. But the complaint was filed only on Tuesday evening. Lamichhane is now out of Nepal.
