Kuwait decided to completely lockdown for three weeks from Sunday due to the increase in corona virus infection.
According to the Kuwait Times, the Kuwaiti cabinet has decided to carry out a complete lockdown from Sunday, May 10 to May 30. The decision will take effect on Sunday at 4 p.m.
The cabinet has decided to stop the work of the private sector and the transportation of essential goods. However, Kuwait has stated that people will be allowed to walk from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, but vehicles will not be allowed to drive.
Kuwait says this is the last alternative to avoid the corona virus epidemic. But essential services like electricity, oil, those working in municipalities and other areas will be allowed to go for work depending on the need.
So far, 7,208 people have been infected with corona in Kuwait. 2466 people have recovered and returned home while 4695 people are undergoing treatment at the hospital. 47 people have died due to corona.
According to the Nepali embassy in Kuwait, 84 Nepali workers have been infected with corona in Kuwait so far.
