Dibesh Pokhrel of Nepali origin has been included in the top seven in the title race of the world-famous singing talent show American Idol.
Among the top 11 contestants, the best seven who got the most votes on Sunday were selected on the basis of votes. Dibesh, 22, who lives in Wichita, Kansas, USA, has competed in American Idol under the name of Arthur Gunn.
Dibesh sang the lyrics of the animated film The Little Mermaid by Alan Menken and the music by Howard S. Man and the song "Kiss the Girl" sung by Ashley Tisdale.
Along with Dibesh's participation in American Idol, interest in Idol has also increased in the Nepali community. American Idol has been airing on ABC Television.
