Kathmandu, A team from the Department of Archeology has reached Chitwan to investigate the birthplace of Ram after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's statement was disputed. While some say that Ram's birth took place in Ayodhya Parsa district, the Department of Archeology has decided to conduct research in Thori of Parsa, which borders Chitwan. The Department of Archeology has stated that excavations have already been started in possible areas of Parsa for research.

After Prime Minister Oli said on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti that Ram was born in Nepal but India had set up a fake Ayodhya and had religious interference in Nepal, the Archaeological Department was asked to provide concrete evidence. Experts says that Ram was born in Thori. As the place called Thori is in Nepal near Parsa and Chitwan districts, it was the opinion of the Prime Minister that Ram was born in Nepal. The locals estimate that the Madi area of Chitwan has hundreds of years old material.

It is said that the research work in the area will start from today. Locals and stakeholders in Madi say that there is a lot of evidence that Ram was born in Madi. According to the locals, there is evidence of a place for tying a horse in the Valmiki area, a place where Sita Patal floated, a place for playing water well, old bricks, stones and soil. After Prime Minister Oli said that Ram was born in Nepal, there is criticism all over the country and abroad.
