Garima Development Bank has stated that it will give full discount to the public transport with black number plate and tourist vehicles as interest relief for the month of Asad. The bank has taken this decision considering the inconvenience seen in the transport sector due to the ongoing shutdown due to COVID-19.
The bank has provided the facility to the debtor titled Higher Purchase for the purchase of passenger bus, minibus, micro bus, jeep and taxi by pledging the vehicle as security.
According to Govinda Prasad Dhakal, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Rastra Bank, the bank has decided to give full discount as a relief on the interest rate of Baisakh, Jestha and Asad, except for the discount given at the rate of two percentage points.
According to him, the borrower can get the facility by contacting the concerned branch office of the bank by Asad end.
