The debate about the origin of the virus is still on the peak.

The WHO last week sought permission from international experts in China to investigate how the virus spread to humans. But China has said it will not grant such permission immediately.

On Tuesday, China's ambassador to the United Nations said China would not allow anyone to investigate until the epidemic was completely contained.

He said "our first priority is to defeat the virus."

Meanwhile, US President Trump has called the coronavirus the deadliest attack in his country.

He compared the epidemic to the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japanese bombers during World War II and the attack on the World Trade Center.

Last Sunday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said there was strong evidence that the virus had spread from China. However, the US Central Intelligence Agency is investigating whether the virus came from a laboratory or from an animal.

However, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said the virus is not man-made. Last Monday, the WHO said the United States had no evidence that the virus had leaked from Wuhan's laboratory. China has also repeatedly denied the allegations.

After the WHO, Anthony Fassi, the leading epidemiologist in the United States, also said that the coronavirus evolved from nature, not from a lab.

Many scientists around the world have been saying that the virus came from animals to humans. The virus is also suspected to have spread from China's meat market.
